Lisa has more than 20 years experience in public relations and integrated marketing for a range of industries from hospitality to retail and real estate. Graduating with a journalism degree from the University of Texas at Austin, Lisa began her career in the Washington, DC, New York and Boston markets working at agencies, in-house and ultimately running her own boutique PR firm. She has worked inside a media company (Boston-based Community Newspaper Co), so is well-versed in how editorial decisions are made. Her experience covers a range of clients and objectives from opening a major travel resort in Central Texas (Hyatt Lost Pines) to Vidal Sassoon Salon, Boston, restaurant openings, Formula 1™ events and introducing the $51 million Stieren Center for Exhibitions at the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio. After 15 years on the East Coast, Lisa returned to Austin where she consulted with three of the city’s leading advertising agencies. She opened Newton O’Neill Communications in January of 2009 and has represented a range of Austin-based businesses and organizations such as Benold’s Jewelry, Eddie V’s restaurants, Texas Hill Country Wine & Food Festival, Rae Cosmetics, Rallyhood, Blue Genie Art Bazaar and The Food Lab at The University of Texas. Lisa is a former board member of the Austin AdFed, member of the PRSA, and works with non-profits such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, A Legacy of Giving and Kids in a New Groove, of which she is a member of the board of directors.
