Amanda Slavin (M.A. Education) is the 29-year old founder of CatalystCreativ, an experience studio that’s focused on helping cities, brands and movements create events that engage audiences and help brands tell their stories in a more impactful way. Founded in June 2012 and backed by Zappos’ CEO and venture capitalist Tony Hsieh, CatalystCreativ designs immersive experiences that build community, increase engagement around a mission or intention and create more active participants in making the world a better place.
Clients hire CatalystCreativ to design impactful brand experiences, create inspirational content, and develop a strategy for gathering and engaging key influencers. Additionally, the company hosts an event series in downtown Las Vegas called Catalyst Week, where a few dozen individuals gather every month for an intimate four-day interactive experience that works to familiarize them with Hsieh’s Downtown Project, engage with (and give back to) the local community, and experience “random collisions” that spark new ideas, and business opportunities. Amanda’s infectious passion for engaging people stands apart from the conventional and exclusive traditional approach to education events. Amanda’s vision to transform cities by connecting people and building community is the key to Catalyst’s success, and will continue to be the driving force behind the development of Las Vegas and other urban centers to come.
