- Forbes, August 12, 2013
From 10:00am to 6:00pm each day SXSW V2V attendees had the opportunity to learn important insights from industry leaders via our daytime sessions. These talks ranged from a daily keynote address and inspirational solo speakers to informative panel discussions, in-depth workshops, and one-on-one mentoring sessions. Themes for 2014 included funding, business development and strategy, creativity and inspiration, social and cultural impact, tech development and design, and policy and regulation, touching on all the creative industries that SXSW serves. Many of these ideas were generated through the SXSW V2V PanelPicker.
Back for a second edition, the SXSW V2Venture pitch competition set the stage for the five finalists in each of the five categories to pitch their projects to a panel of esteemed judges in front of a live audience. Click here to learn more about the 2014 competition winners.
Tuesday afternoon the Startup Spotlight at SXSW V2V shined the light on emerging startups, giving them the opportunity to connect with attendees and demonstrate their company, product or service. To learn how to get your startup in a future slot at the Startup Spotlight, please contact Katie King.
Lounges and Breaks
SXSW V2V offers several opportunities for registrants to take a break from the daytime programming to relax, connect and recharge. Themed lounges, coffee breaks, networking lunches and happy hours provide the perfect opportunity to finish up that blog post, take an important meeting, or catch up with old and new friends.
The best connections are made when everyone is having a good time. After the daytime programming ends, SXSW V2V continued on into the evening with a great lineup of fun networking events designed to bring the SXSW V2V community together and solidify those all-important connections made during the daytime activities. Check out the events from 2014.
Music and Film
Music, film, and technology are at the core of what makes SXSW events so special. SXSW V2V highlighted the intersection of these industries with the startup and entrepreneur landscape through daytime programming sessions as well as evening events.
